We recently visited the redeveloped Mundaring Community Sculpture Park.ย It is located on Jacoby Street across the road from The Mundaring Hotel (not to be confused with the Mundaring Weir Hotel) There is more than enough parking along the road as it seemed everyone was there to take advantage of the good weather after the rain.
It is very impressive with the main focus being on nature play.ย There is a water play area, lots of rocks and logs to climb and walk across, rope bridges, swings and ladders and itโs all surrounded by big trees. ย The sculptures all around the park encourage imaginative play and fit in well with the redeveloped park.ย There is just so much to explore and discover.

The playground section has soft fall with a big rope climbing frame that leads up to a tunnel slide. There are swings and a nest swing, climbing equipment with a boardwalk tunnel, a merry-go-round, slides and also a few music play areas.ย A flying fox is going to be installed in the near future.

ย
The sandpit near the entrance has a big wooden carved dragon which was popular with the kids.ย They loved climbing and walking all over it and they can spend time digging for dragon eggs in the sand.
ย
Facilities include 2 undercover BBQs, toilets (although thereโs only one and with it being really busy, people were queuing to go) and grassed picnic areas, one near the playground and one a little further away with picnic tables. There is a lot of seating in the form of benches, logs and rocks and plenty of shade.ย Unfortunately, the park isnโt fully fenced but there is still work in progress.
We didnโt stay and BBQ at Mundaring Community Sculpture Park as it was super busy.ย Instead, we drove a little further down to the Mundaring Weir Gardens.ย Nestled among trees there are picnic shelters with gas BBQโs, toilets and a childrenโs play area.ย However, our kids spent the majority of their time simply taking advantage of the nature surrounding them.

1 Review on “Mundaring Community Sculpture Park”
I donโt know what the park was like before the renovated it. But again another park with no thought for our hot Aussie sun, no shade sales anywhere everything was hot the little kiddie slides and swings were in full sun. The water pump wasnโt working. The grassed areaโs were lovely and shaded by trees.
