Calling all little explorers and nature lovers!

Celebrate the natural wonders of our community with this four-part Eco Explorers Story Time series. Each session features a special guest presenter, engaging stories and songs, and hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity about the world around us. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to connect, learn and explore together.


🦋 Beautiful Butterflies

Saturday 28 February | 9.30am–11am
Discover the fascinating lifecycle of a butterfly through stories and crafts, then step inside the butterfly tent for an unforgettable up-close encounter as butterflies flutter around you.

 

🌱 Seeds to Sprouts

Saturday 7 March | 9.30am–10.30am
Enjoy a STEAM-inspired Story Time based on Jack and the Beanstalk, packed with hands-on activities including investigating the life cycle of a plant, viewing parts of a plant under a microscope and planting your very own beanstalk to take home.

 

🐝 Busy Bees

Saturday 21 March | 9.30am–11am
Meet a real beekeeper and learn why bees are so important to our natural world. Listen to the buzz of a working hive and discover how honey is made. 

Important Note 
Live bees will be present for this session, however they are contained within hives designed for use in educational settings and cannot exit from these. Children will be able to look and hear but there is no possibility of coming into direct contact. Honey tasting will be an optional part of this workshop, parents are responsible for deciding if they would like their child to participate. Please alert staff of any allergies.

 

🐸 Fantastic Frogs

Saturday 11 April | 9.30am–11am
Sing rhymes and enjoy a story before an engaging, educational presentation from SERCUL, filled with fascinating froggy facts.

What You Need to Know

  • These sessions are suitable for families with children aged 3-5 years.
  • Please aim to arrive 5 minutes prior so your child has time to settle in before the session commences.
  • Bookings are not required; however, spaces are limited. Tokens will be allocated on arrival from 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the session, so we recommend coming early to secure your place.
  • Parents, please note that all children 12 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
