Play among trees at Henley Brook’s Wongin Park! The treehouse-inspired playground might be small, but it packs a big punch! From ball play and big slides to water fun and an onsite cafe, Wongin Park is definitely a crowd-pleaser!!!
The main feature of Wongin Park is the treehouse which wraps around the majority of the playground and is accessible by ramp, ropes, a rock climbing wall, ladders and stairs.
The treehouse also features two tunnel slides, a fireman’s pole, rope tunnel and a fun little spider challenge.
On ground level, there are lots of little nooks and crannies to discover, such as shop counters and little doorways.
There are little cubby houses.
A rope obstacle.
Birds nest swing.
Stepping logs.
And sand and water play area.
Behind the treehouse is a half basketball court.
The Indigenous art trail is a unique and beautiful aspect of Wongin Park. There are 7 different artworks located around the park created by local students with a Noongar or Aboriginal background and inspired by the native flora and fauna.
Wongin Park is home to the Crooked Spire Cafe, perfect for enjoying a hot coffee and a light snack. Opening hours are currently unknown.
There’s a gorgeous grassed area, perfect for having a kick or setting out a picnic rug. The playground is partially fenced, and the mature trees offer plenty of shade.
