The newly redeveloped East Fremantle Oval area has been transformed into a fantastic family-friendly space, featuring a nature playground located in front of the Carnaby Cafe.
The fort-style playground boasts multiple levels, a climbing rope, fireman poles, a slide, and a climbing wall. Children can also enjoy a wooden stepping stone and rope agility course. The playground features an all-abilities birdnest swing, free gas BBQs, seating, and water fountains, all under shade cloth for sun protection.
Adjacent to the playground is a large grass area, perfect for picnics and ball games. Don’t forget to bring skateboards, scooters, bikes, and basketballs to enjoy the colourful skatepark and half basketball court, which are illuminated until around 9pm.
Next to the basketball court and green space is an enclosed dog park.
East Fremantle Shark home games will return to the oval before the end of the current WAFL season. Spectators can watch the games from the newly built grandstands or the grass areas of the Carnaby Bar & Restaurant.
The park features drinking fountains, toilets, and changing facilities near the playground area and the skatepark. Plenty of free car parking and footpaths are available, making the park accessible to all abilities.
