Heading to Collie to checkout the AMAZING Wellington Dam wall mural? Well, you may also find yourself in the town itself, looking for a bite to eat, or place for the kids to play. Collie’s Central Park and Water Play Space is a fab spot for children to roam and explore the many mini blue hills and bumps.
The playground features both soft fall and nature play areas – packing a lot into a relatively small area. There are spinners, rope bridges, a nest swing, and more, with much of the equipment found under shade sails.
And there’s also this interesting 4-person see-saw!
In warmer months the Collie Splash Pad gives a splashing goodtime for little locals and tourists alike. There are 45 randomly sequenced sprays and fountains, designed to keep kids guessing and surprise them with which spray will come on next!
Three bronze lizard sculptures laze about in the sun, while the splash pad is shaded by overhead sails.
If you’ve packed a picnic, there’s plenty of grassed picnic areas, electric barbecues, covered tables and seating, as well as toilets and change rooms at Central Park and Water Play Space, Collie.
There’s even a few kid-sized picnic tables throughout the park – cute!
If you’re looking for a bite to eat, you’ll find a super cute train carriage kiosk in the park. The Wagon was very popular on the day we visited.
It offers up take away coffee, drinks, sweet slices, raw treats and some mouth wateringly cheesy toasties!
There is also a bakery right across the road. This has all the usual suspects for sale – pies, sausage rolls and sweet goodies. They also had a decent selection of freshly made sandwiches, rolls and wraps.
You’ll also spot a beautiful mural on the back of the park’s sound bowl – which is part of the Collie Mural trail. 
Central Park and Water Play Collie is a whole lot of fun and worth a visit for young families in the area.
