Sunstone Park โ previously known to locals as Adventure Tower Park โ is a standout neighbourhood Playground in the Calleya Estate, set along Sunstone Boulevard in Treeby. Surrounded by new homes and wide streets, itโs very much the communityโs central โadventureโ space, with a huge tower, plenty of grass to run on and familyโfriendly facilities that make it an easy meetโup spot.

The hero of the park is the towering adventure structure, rising around eight metres above the ground. Confident climbers can make their way up via metal ladders to the lower level, where a smaller slide gives younger children a gentler option. From there, the only way to reach the top platform and the big twisty slide is by tackling a rope ladder, which adds a real sense of challenge. The enclosed slide is fast and dark in parts, making it a thrilling ride for schoolโaged kids and tweens, while still ending safely on soft fall below.

Just beside the tower is a large birdโs nest swing, perfect for siblings or friends to share.

A short wander away, a wooden stepping path leads children through a series of balance logs and a teepee structure, inviting them to test their coordination and enjoy some imaginative play. Nature play elements are dotted through this area, encouraging kids to climb, balance and explore rather than just move from one piece of fixed equipment to the next.

For younger children, the sand play section is where theyโll happily potter for ages. This part of the Playground is covered with shade sails and includes a double swing with an infant seat, so babies and toddlers arenโt left out.

A sand table offers opportunities for scooping, pouring and imaginative play at a comfortable height, while a spinner adds extra fun for kids who love to whirl around.

Simple balance beams in the sand give little legs a chance to practise their balance in a lowโrisk way.

The park is well set up for family catchโups and weekend sausage sizzles. A generous grassed area bordered by footy goals is ideal for a kick of the ball, a game of chasey or simply rolling down the gentle embankments. Free gas barbecues and sheltered picnic tables are on hand, making it easy to settle in for lunch or an early dinner without needing to bring much more than food and a picnic blanket. Paths around and through the park are smooth enough for scooters and small bikes, so bring wheels if you have them.
There are, however, a couple of practical points to be aware of. There are no public toilets at Sunstone Park, so itโs worth planning ahead if youโre visiting with newly toiletโtrained children or staying for a longer play. The nearest facilities are at the Cockburn South Central precinct. On the plus side, Mooba Calleya cafรฉ is only a short stroll away in the estate, so parents can grab a coffee or snack before or after a Playground session. Shade sails cover the sand area and there is growing tree shade around the grass, but on very hot days youโll still want hats, sunscreen and water, especially for kids playing on the tower.
Overall, Sunstone Park is a great choice if your kids love a bit of height and adventure, but you still need a Playground that works for toddlers and preschoolers too. With its impressive tower, mix of nature and sand play, open grass and familyโfriendly facilities, itโs the kind of local park you can easily spend a couple of hours at, whether youโre meeting friends or burning off energy after school.
