July School Holidays
This school holidays the museum is celebrating everything to do with the ocean. Join us during the wet weather to explore our coastline from the mysterious shipwrecks to the curious creatures that call the Wanneroo coast home. From hands-on activities, self-guided fun, and special guest workshops with the Freedom Fairies and Critters Up Close, there is always something to do at Wanneroo Regional Museum!
Highlights will include:
- Discover the fascinating stories of the shipwrecks that can be found along the Wanneroo coastline
- Mosaic Making, Pirate Flag Creating Seaside Stamping and Storytime sessions from a whole host of characters from the Freedom Fairies.
- Shipwreck headband making and other crafty projects!
Find us at 3 Rocca Way, Wanneroo. Open Monday to Friday 10am – 4 pm and Saturday 12pm – 4pm.

Looking for a family-friendly day out north of Perth? Wanneroo Regional Museum and Community History Centre is a welcoming, relaxed destination for families with young children to explore, play and learn together.
The museum brings Wanneroo’s stories to life through colourful displays, historic photos, everyday objects and hands-on interactives designed to keep little minds curious. Children can discover what life was like for early colonists, explore farming and community life, and learn about the Noongar people’s enduring connection to Country in ways that are accessible and engaging for all ages.
There’s always something happening for families, with regular school holiday workshops and storytelling sessions that encourage imagination, creativity and shared experiences. Grown-ups can enjoy the stories too, while kids learn through play and discovery.
The onsite Community History Centre is perfect for parents and grandparents who want to dig a little deeper, with a fascinating collection of photographs, maps, oral histories and local stories that celebrate Wanneroo’s past.
With plenty to see and do, Wanneroo Regional Museum is an easy, enriching outing for families with prams, preschoolers and primary-aged kids – a place to slow down, explore together and spark a love of local history from an early age.

Sat: 12pm-4pm.
Closed Sundays and public holidays.
