Buggybuddys Guide to Parks in Perth and Playgrounds in Perth
Find Playgrounds near me
Looking for the best Playgrounds and parks in Perth for your next family outing? You’re in the right place. Whether you’ve got a toddler who loves gentle slides and swings, primary school kids who want to climb everything in sight, or tweens chasing a bigger challenge, Perth is packed with incredible play spaces — and they are completely FREE.
Buggybuddys’ directory brings together everything from neighbourhood gems to big destination super parks, plus nature play spaces, foreshore and beachside parks, and adventure Playgrounds with climbing towers, flying foxes, pump tracks and more. We know the practical stuff matters too, so you’ll find options that suit real-life parenting: fenced Playgrounds, parks with toilets, shade, water play, and even listings near cafés for that essential post-play coffee.
Use the filters to narrow down what you need (sand vs non-sand, all-abilities, toddler-friendly, scooter & bike parks and more), then pick a spot and get outside. Perth’s Playground scene is seriously world-class — happy exploring!
Fancote Park is located behind Stargate Shops in Kelmscott. As we drove past the big forte caught our eye so we stopped for a look and a play. The park has wide open grassed spaces for ball games or running around, sand-based playground, exercise equipment and the forte. The park is also equipped with a covered BBQ, picnic tables and benches around the play equipment. There is a drinking fountain near the picnic tables. The park has lovely mature trees which provide some shade for the picnic tables and exercise equipment. There is a fence between the park and the Read more…
Frye Park or Pirate Park in Kelmscott is a great park which features a large pirate ship but also has a fenced toddler playground and picnic tables in the same area. The toddler area and picnic tables are covered with shade sails in summer. The pirate ship has plenty to do with three slides, climbing challenges and treasure hunts. The pirate ship has seats underneath and the area is high enough that my Miss 3.5 could walk around with no problem. She liked the idea of having her snacks where the pirates have lunch. Up on top deck is quite Read more…

If you’re chasing a new playground, Rushton Park in Kelmscott is such a good one to have on your list. Found in the Perth Hills foothills, it’s close to bush trails for a pre- or post-play wander. The play equipment (replaced in late 2025), is vibrant and green, with reed-like green poles blending into the riverside spot. The playground’s glow-up looks fantastic and it’s set up really nicely for a mixed-age crew. For the tiny humans, there’s a smaller, low-to-the-ground climbing equipment with a slide that’s spot-on for toddlers. Steps, a little platform, and a mini climbing wall are all Read more…
