Bert Wright Park is a small nature playground located behind the library and community centre in Bayswater. For a small area, there is plenty to offer, the park has a nature play area, Basketball hoop, expanse of grass, concrete pathway and BBQ and covered picnic table. The playground was popular even on a cold winter morning, with a number families enjoying the nature play. Halliday Park is a quiet park with lots of open green space located behind The Bayswater Hotel. The park is named after an early Bayswater settler, Henry Thomas Halliday, and as of May 2018 the playground area has undergone an upgrade with a new play structure and fresh sand now in place. The Garratt Road Bridge or AP Hinds Reserve is a quiet playground and picnic spot under the bridge on the river in Bayswater. It is just down from the popular Riverside Gardens. We walked down there after a coffee at the coffee van at Riverside Gardens. The kids rode their scooters along the pathways, stopping at the exercise equipment spots along the way for a quick play.
