From the moment you arrive, Monelli impresses with its stunning location overlooking the foreshore and ocean views. The aesthetics are calm, elegant, and coastal, yet surprisingly welcoming for families. What makes Monelli stand out is how well it balances refined dining with family-friendly comfort.
The kids’ menu is simple but thoughtful, with favourites like pancakes topped with strawberry compote and babychinos, which of course, delighted our toddler. We also appreciated the flexibility—many of the dishes from the regular menu are kid-friendly too. Our little ones enjoyed banana bread and burnt banana, and we ordered extra hash browns and bacon for the table, which kept everyone happy without having to commit to more full-sized meals.
There’s a shaded outdoor area perfect for brunch, and the children’s play zone is a huge win—it allowed the kids to play safely while we sipped our coffee in peace.
After eating, the nearby grassy area and foreshore lookout made for a great little walk where the kids could spot boats and enjoy the fresh air.
Monelli is also well-equipped with family essentials: baby changing facilities, high chairs, friendly staff who are patient with kids, and a welcoming vibe that made us feel right at home.
