Fee Fi Fo Fum… We smell a brilliant new playground (opened January 2019)! The “Giant Playground” at Bushmead housing estate is found in Perth’s foothills, just minutes from Midland and Kalamunda.
Here, there’s a giant-theme, so kids will love to spot all the giants hiding in the park…

There’s a fun-tastic climbing structure, as well as a little nature play. The playground is dominated by a tall tree house-like structure, best for older kids, as all the ways to the top are via climbing nets.
At the top, there is an enclosed tube slide that takes you back down to the woodchips.
There’s a “sleeping giant” play structure, with a smaller, double slide in the playground, great for younger children who like to race or hold hands and slide together. There’s also a small climbing slope.
Be the king of the castle on the climbing platform and lookout, or hide in the tunnels.
Around the playground there’s plenty of other things to climb, explore and balance on! The playground has been built around existing mature trees, so there is quite a bit of natural shade.
The playground is surrounded by a nature play element of large logs, which can easily be used as stepping stones.
You’ll also find a nest swing.
There’s a covered BBQ area with table and benches, sheltered from rain and sun.
There’s also a drinking fountain with dog bowl. There are currently no public toilets.
Giant Park is a fab park, with plenty of space to kick a ball on the grass and loads to keep children of all ages active and entertained.
