This workshop is for young people in high school or equivalent.

Makeup SFX workshops are a fun and interesting way to introduce young to new materials and skills. Young people get to see how visual arts skills and training translate into an exciting and rewarding career in the film and television industry!

Participants will develop and apply some of the techniques and processes used by makeup SFX artists, looking at shape, colour, line, space, texture and value, to create a look.

No previous experience needed, all resources are provided and come as you are.

Run by Stephanie Davis who practically kills actors for a living. Having trained in London in film and television makeup and special effects make-up, Stephanie returned home to Perth in 2011 and works as a make-up artist on many local films. She is also a successful producer, having been awarded ScreenWest funding, and applies her film knowledge not only on her film sets but also when teaching SFX to her students during her gory yet super enjoyable Filmbites workshops.
