How to create beautiful habitat gardens: Butterflies, Bees, Birds, Bobtails, Bandicoots, Bugs and Be

March 14 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join passionate habitat gardeners, Rachel and Mike Green, for a practical, beautifully illustrated and entertaining talk on creating habitat gardens for wildlife.

Rachel and Mike will provide plenty of practical tips for attracting different wildlife and taking stunning wildlife photographs as well as great local plant ideas, so you discover the key principles of habitat gardening to fit any space and are inspired by real examples.

They bring years of hands-on experience from developing a 6-acre ‘land for wildlife’ property, which they shared with a mob of 7 kangaroos and 69 bird species to now having a very small garden where they’ve swapped the roos for butterflies, bees and bobtails.

They have proven that even the smallest space, whether a balcony, courtyard or small garden, can still provide a successful and safe wildlife habitat and be beautiful.

Rachel and Mike’s habitat garden was featured on ABC TV’s Gardening Australia in August 2025 and in an 8-page spread in Gardening Australia Magazine in September.

Discover how to create a beautiful garden in the City of Bayswater and beyond – all while providing a safe haven for wildlife.

Tickets are $10 per person.
