Looking for something new to do outdoors these school holidays?
The brand-new Yanchep Discovery Trail invites families to explore, play and learn in one of Perth’s most beautiful national parks.
Developed by the City of Wanneroo in collaboration with Nature Play WA and DBCA, this 2.2km interactive loop trail combines nature, history and digital adventure. Using the free Nature Play WA Play Trails app, families can follow GPS waypoints that reveal stories, fun facts and hidden surprises about Yanchep’s fascinating heritage, culture and wildlife.
You’ll discover memory games, quizzes and photo challenges as you make your way through iconic park locations – from wetlands and wildflowers to koalas snoozing in the treetops!
Flat and easy underfoot, the trail takes around 60–90 minutes to complete at a relaxed pace and is suitable for ages 10+ or younger kids keen for a challenge.
