She Codes returns to Falcon Library in April to provide inspiration, mentorship and training in coding and tech skills to help build career pathways.

She Codes is a movement devoted to helping women or non-binary persons to up their tech skills and get into tech careers. This one-day workshop will be centred around the themes of technology, learning, community building, connection, inspiration and cupcakes.

There will be four tutorials available on the day:

• Learning fundamentals of website creation and hosting on WordPress

• Fundamentals of code using HTML / CSS

• Building an interactive game in Python

• Building a blog with Django

Tutorials are self-paced and designed for various skill levels. There will be plenty of mentors and support on the day to get you started or extend your skills. Bring your own laptop or preferred device, and any accessories you might require.

This workshop is suitable for women and non-binary persons 16 years and older. Those under 18 must have a parent, guardian or caregiver present.

A light lunch and signature cupcakes are provided.
