Found on Toodyay’s main street, Stirling Terrace, a short stroll from the famous Toodyay Bakery, Newcastle Park is a small but mighty playground that packs a big punch with vibrant traditional equipment that will keep kids of all ages entertained.

The playground is partly shaded by mature trees and has a soft fall and sand base โ perfect for taking a bucket and spade along for a little sand play.

The play structure is great for those who love to climb! There are ropes, a climbing wall and more.

For little ones, there’s a ramp up to a toddler slide, which makes for easier access.
And the best way to get down is via the double blue slide – perfect for racing your siblings!

Other equipment includes a nest swing, small flying fox, tunnel, rope bridge and more.

Thereโs also a spinning thingy โ for want of a better term! This is flush to the floor, making for good wheelchair and stroller accessibility. It’s great dizzy fun.

Fun for older kids comes in the form of a “four in a row” connect four style game. There’s “Naughts and Crosses”, plus musical elements too.
Thereโs grass to run around on or throw a pincic rug on. Being a small play area, thereโs not many facilities, other than a covered bench.
The Newcastle Park Playground in Toodyay is found on the banks of the Avon River – there’s a little bridge next to the playground you can take a wander over too. Be sure to head to the bakery and enjoy a pie in the park!
