Royal Lockwood Reserve is a new fenced playground that has opened in Yokine as of the end of November 2017. It is a great mix of nature play and traditional play equipment. On entering the gate, to the right we found some balancing logs, stepping logs and a wooden teepee. This is surrounded a thick bed of wood chips and by natural shade trees, which were retained from the original lot that was here before the playground was created. Following the footpath down, the centre of the playground features a large sandpit with fine white sand and traditional style equipment.
