The Shenton Park Toy Library is open every Saturday morning from 9:00am to 10:30am. They offer two membership options: a Family membership at $140 per year or a Casual membership at $20 for 3 weeks. Both membership types allow borrowing of up to 4 items at a time. The library serves areas including Shenton Park, Subiaco, Nedlands, Dalkeith, Claremont, Daglish, Jolimont, Perth and West Perth. The beautiful Lake Jualbup playground is located in the leafy suburb of Shenton Park, and is surrounded by a lovely well-kept park with rolling green lawns. “Jualbup” is an aboriginal term meaning ‘a place where water rises in the season of spring’. The lake can dry up during the summer months, but when we visited it was full and had a variety of pretty birdlife including Black Swans and assorted ducks.
