Anchors away! Windjammer Park in the coastal suburb of Jindalee, around 45 minutes north of Perth, is a fantastic family playground that captures a true coastal vibe. As part of the City of Wanneroo’s 19/20 Asset Renewal Program, the park was given a major refresh — and the result is a vibrant, ocean-inspired play space that perfectly fits its seaside location.
The playground features high-quality equipment from Tip Tip Tap, designed with a nautical twist that instantly sparks kids’ imaginations. The standout piece is a large pirate ship play structure, complete with climbing walls, slides, and a fire pole — perfect for little adventurers to captain their own high-seas voyage.
Alongside it is a smaller tugboat-style structure with a steering wheel, ideal for younger sailors who want to join in on the fun.
Families will also find a merry-go-round, stand-on seesaw, drums for musical play, and a mega “first to four” game that adds a touch of friendly competition.
A double swing and plenty of soft fall flooring make it both fun and safe for all ages. The royal blue shade sails not only provide excellent sun protection but also enhance the ocean theme, resembling rolling waves above.
There are shaded seating areas for parents, a water fountain for refills, and plenty of open grassy space for kicking a ball or running around.
The park is dog-friendly, and smooth paths make it perfect for scooters and bikes.
While there are no public bathrooms on-site, the Jindalee Beach Shack Café is just a short drive away — ideal for grabbing a coffee or snack after playtime.
