Let your little ninjas run free at the new ninja parkour course located inside Whitfords Nodes Health and Wellbeing Hub. This course is the first of its kind in WA and the largest in Australia.
Starting, as all ninja courses do, with the famous quintuple steps, the course has lots of obstacles you’d recognise from the tv show. Obstacles such as spin cycle, cargo net and pole grasper will test competitors along the way before finishing at a mini Mt Midoriyama. Make sure to stay on the green “soft fall” patches though, the black “soft fall” is lava (or so the kids tell me!).
At the finish line is a winner’s podium to take pics for bragging rights! Spectator seating runs along one side and there is plenty of grassed areas surrounding it to get a good view of the course and keep an eye on the action.
If you want to take it to the next level, you can scan the QR code at the start line to watch instructional videos on the obstacles and see the rules for competing. It even has a timer so you can compete with others in the community and try to make it to the leader board!
Next to the ninja course are run tracks of various lengths, including a 100m track. There is also workout equipment and the Whitfords Nodes Stairway to try. On Saturdays the park hosts a free 5km Parkrun at 8am
The ninja warrior course is more suited to older kids, teens, and adults, however there is a playground for young kids also located within the park. Toilets and BBQs are also on site.
Access to Whitfords Nodes is off Whitfords Ave, just north of Hillarys Marina. Parking is free.
