Pack the scooters, balance bikes and trikes โ The Avenueโs Traffic Park and Playground in Hilbert is made for little transport lovers. Set within The Avenue Estate in the City of Armadale, this compact but cleverly designed park has a fun roadโrules theme thatโs ideal for toddlers and junior primary kids who are just getting confident on wheels.

The star of the space is the custom bike and scooter track that loops around the park. Kids can follow the path through mini roundabouts, over โspeed bumpsโ and past stop signs, crosswalks and traffic cones, giving you lots of opportunities to talk about basic road safety while they play. The track is smooth and flat, perfect for beginner riders, and wide enough for siblings and friends to ride together.

Alongside the track youโll find a small sandpit featuring a bright doubleโdecker bus play structure. Children can climb aboard, take a seat as a passenger or jump behind the steering wheel and โdriveโ their friends around before sliding back down. Itโs a great spot for imaginative games, especially for younger children who might be too small or nervous for faster riding on the main track.

Something a bit different here is the rideโon cable car roundabout โ a quirky piece of equipment thatโs a real novelty if your kids are used to more traditional spinners and carousels.

Nearby, a nature play area adds a more rustic element, with woodchips underfoot, chunky timber stepping logs, a simple teepee and a cubbyโstyle structure that invites climbing, balancing and quieter exploration.

For older kids and sporty tweens, thereโs an urban multiโsports court marked out for basketball and soccer. Itโs a good way to keep mixedโage families happy โ little ones can ride and dig in the sand while bigger children shoot hoops or have a kick around without needing a separate venue.

Facilities have been thoughtfully included for families. There are shaded picnic tables where you can spread out snacks or lunch, a BBQ for casual weekend getโtogethers, and a drinking fountain so you donโt have to lug too much water on hot days. The park is bordered by residential streets, with limited street parking available along Lexington Avenue, making it an easy popโin stop if you live locally or are visiting friends in the estate.

The Avenueโs Traffic Park and Playground is best suited to younger children, particularly toddlers, preschoolers and early primary kids who will get the most out of the themed bike track and bus. While the overall footprint of the Playground is smaller than you might expect from photos, itโs well laid out, easy to supervise and works nicely as a lowโkey outing or an addโon to other adventures in the Armadale/Byford area. Itโs also just one of several parks within The Avenue Estate, so as the community continues to grow there will be even more play options nearby.

I would like to know where the park is that you are advertising. I took my grandson to the so called award winning traffic park, off Lexington Street Harridale, and was disgusted with what I seen.
Not one of those images that you show are at that park. It was just a boring little park with three boring play equipment.
A swing, monkey bars and a fire engine, surrounded by pathway.
If there is another park on that street, please let me know because I definitely will not be going back to that one.
