After years of petitions and Council meetings driven by local youth, the Cottesloe Skate Park & Pump Track has finally opened its doors. Situated alongside the Cottesloe Tennis Courts, the park boasts stunning ocean views and caters to all ages and skill levels.
The Skate Bowl: The skate bowl features two levels and a rail along the top, accommodating both beginner and experienced skaters, as well as scooter riders. Its depth is suitable for a wide range of abilities.
The Skate Plaza: Despite its compact size, the skate plaza is packed with features, including long edges, curbs, and rails. Articulated banks with hips and transitions allow skaters to perfect their tricks.
Mini ramps bookend the plaza, and a shaded seating area between the plaza and the bowl provides a space to catch your breath while watching the action.
The Pump Track: The tar pump track is a continuous circuit that challenges BMX riders, scooters, and skaters alike. It features multiple jumps, corner bowls, and pumps that will put your skills to the test.
Surrounding Area: The park land surrounding the skate park and pump track is currently undergoing revegetation, with wood chips surrounding the pump track and grass areas around the skate park. Free parking is available along Napier Street and in the Town of Cottesloe #2 Carpark, which is accessible from Marine Parade.
Amenities: Being located in Cottesloe, the skate park is surrounded by a variety of coffee shops and eateries, all within walking distance. The nearest public toilets are located at Cottesloe Beach.
