Looking for a new playground to explore with the kids in Perth’s southern suburbs? The Canning Vale Oval Playground offers children of all ages plenty of opportunities to climb, swing, slide, and explore, with extras to keep the whole family entertained.
Opened in August 2026, this upgraded play space was shaped by ideas from local residents and students, creating a new welcoming outdoor family destination for everyone to enjoy. Set amongst mature trees that provide natural shade, this playground offers a lovely spot for families to enjoy some fresh air while the kids burn off their endless energy.
One of the best things about the new playground is that it caters to children of all ages and abilities. For the little ones, a toddler-friendly play area features slides and play panels.
The sand play area, complete with a sand play table, is another great addition for children who love digging, scooping and getting a little messy.
Older kids looking for a challenge will love the climbing frame, which lets them test their strength and coordination. The spinners and swings add even more fun.
What makes this new play space stand out is that the fun extends beyond the traditional playground equipment.
Little cyclists can head to the Pump Track for a wheeled adventure, while older teens and adults can use the exercise equipment. Cricket practice nets are also available for budding cricketers to work on their batting and bowling skills.
The huge oval provides plenty of space to run, play and play a game of footy. While mature trees provide some shade to the area, much of the playground is still exposed to the sun, so make sure to bring hats and sunscreen. Public toilets are found at the club room across the oval, with ample parking available too.
With a mix of playground fun, open space and sporting facilities, the new Canning Vale Oval Playground is a great addition to the local community and a fun spot to enjoy some outdoor adventure. So, pack some snacks, bring the bikes or scooters and make a morning of it!
