Bicton Baths is a beautiful, family-friendly swimming spot on the Swan River, offering calm, sheltered water and plenty of space for kids to play. The distinctive U-shaped jetty is a big hit with confident swimmers who love jumping in and climbing back up the ladders, while the shallow areas closer to shore are ideal for toddlers and less confident swimmers to paddle and splash.
Families can enjoy shell collecting, nature play and even a bit of snorkelling, with clear water and plenty of marine life to spot. On the grassed reserve above the river there are shady picnic areas, free BBQs and Playgrounds to suit both younger and older children, making it easy to spend a few hours or the whole day.
There are toilets, showers and an accessible toilet close to the jetty, but no café right on the water, so it’s best to bring your own snacks or picnic. Parking is available nearby, though it can get busy on hot days.
