Get ready for a tower-rific time at Taarak Park! Nestled within the Allara Estate in Eglinton, this brand-new playground is the ultimate spot for family fun. The vibrant play tower is the main attraction, boasting thrilling slides, bridges, tunnels, speaking tubes and adventurous climbing ropes. The swings are a hit too, featuring one bird’s nest swing and a traditional swing. My 7-year-old couldn’t get enough of the smaller climbing structure, a combination of rock climbing and ropes. The boys also loved challenging each other on the balancing boards. For those who love to stay active, there’s a fitness station, and Read more…

Within the newly built Amberton Estate is Eglinton Park Playground, AKA “The Flying Fox Park” The park is overlooked by residential houses and a relatively quiet road with ample roadside parking. I would suggest the park is more suited to older kids rather than toddlers due to the openness directly onto the road, extremely steep stairs, slope and slides. The biggest attraction to this park is the huge Flying Fox (suitable for 5years plus) which is fantastic fun for the adults as well! I personally found it exhilarating and terrifying at the same time! There is a sandpit area complete Read more…

This is a great playground for older children, under 3s will need help navigating the ropes and tall stairs. At one end of the play structure, there is a tall climbing wall with a rubbery mat/ladder Read more…

This shipwreck-themed playground offers a modest yet enchanting escape for families in search of outdoor adventure. At the heart of Roebuck Park stands the towering lookout, commanding a bird’s eye view of the playground and its surroundings. It’s the perfect perch for young buccaneers to survey their surroundings before plunging down two thrilling tunnel slides, accessible by stairs or cargo net. But the real treasure lies in the wooden shipwreck, igniting imaginations and sparking epic adventures. Who knows? You might Read more…

The Northern Suburbs have given us yet another fantastic park! At the Amberton Estate in Eglington, you’ll find the new park Heath Park also known as the Amberton Scooter Park and Pirate Playground. The park is a fair distance from the road and car park, about 100 meters, which makes it ideal for younger children not playing close to traffic. The biggest attraction of this park HAS to be the scooter park. A dedicated scooter track is an excellent idea and is similar to a scaled down skate park – perfect for younger children. There are gentle curves and small humps that are easily navigated by a scooter. There were a few young children there on Read more…
