WA has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Check out our guide to WA & Perth Beaches suitable for kids of all ages. Try out a new beach or paddle in the shallow waters of the Swan River, tried and tested for you by our Buggybuddys families.

North

Hillarys and Iluka Foreshore Park have fantastic family friendly beaches. Iluka has a nautical themed nature playground that kids of all ages are guaranteed to love. Hillarys and Rosslare Park in Mindarie have wonderful shallow beaches suitable for little ones. Mullaloo Beach and Clarko Reserve in Trigg have great playgrounds with a cafe close by.

South

Visit Quarantine Park in Bicton has a nice fenced playground with barbecue facilities and access to the shallow river waters of the Bicton Bathes. Port Coogee Marina is a gorgeous spot for families to relax. The marina area offers a pram friendly, sheltered beach with calm waters – perfect for a paddle in.

Perth Hills

Lake Leschenaultia is the perfect place for a family day trip. The calm waters of the lake teamed with it’s sandy beaches make it the ideal spot for small children to paddle in. For the older family members, you could choose to swim out to the pontoon off the main beach or hire a canoe and take a tour around the lake.

Mandurah

The Lido, also known as the Children’s Beach, is shallow and calm. Perfect for children and those too scared of rough waters. Keith Holmes Reserve is located off the Mandurah Quay Footbridge. The quirky playground overlooking the man-made beach makes this a great little spot for a playdate, family BBQs, picnics and parties.
