Be Part of History: Walk Walyalup Bridge
Be among the first to walk across the new Walyalup Bridge before it officially opens to traffic! Join Main Roads WA for a free community celebration featuring panoramic Swan River views and family-friendly fun on the foreshore.
For one morning only, the bridge will be open exclusively to pedestrians. Walk across at your own pace, with entry available from both the north and south sides of the river.
Head to the Festival Hub on Beach Street for community stalls, a sausage sizzle, food trucks, entertainment, bubbles and crafts, a petting zoo, rides, face painting and more.
Afterwards, keep the celebrations going at the North Fremantle Bridge Party, with local businesses offering entertainment, family activities, food and special offers throughout the day.

Location: Walyalup Bridge and the Festival Hub on Beach Street, Fremantle
Cost: Free
Registration: Advance registration is encouraged to help organisers plan catering, transport and activities.
Getting there: No event parking is available. Walk, wheel, ride or catch public transport to Fremantle or North Fremantle Station. Bike racks will be available, and a free shuttle bus will operate from Fremantle Station to the event precinct.
