Northam Skatepark and Airbag Coaching – BMX / MTB

Thanks to the Shire of Northam.
Freestyle Now will be hosting FREE BMX / Mountain bike airbag jumping coaching session AND skatepark coaching session at Northam Skatepark. Freestyle Now will be bringing our small coaching air bag jump for participants to use. Participants in BMX and mountain bikes will be able to learn new tricks or get advice on tricks and gain new confidence levels but most of all everyone can have a stack of fun on both the airbag and the skatepark.
These workshop sessions are more than just helping teach skills. These workshops are fun, informative and motivational. The squad members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. All our instructors are very easy going and relate to the participants well. Our workshops cover all aspects of the sports, as well as equipment maintenance and personal safety issues. Equipment is checked prior to the participant’s involvement to make sure that it is in a safe condition and minor repairs or adjustments can be made if necessary. We do, however, reserve the right to not permit a participant to attend the workshop if we feel that their equipment does not meet safety requirements. All participants must wear helmets and closed in shoes.
Our facilitators analyse the participants skill level and work from that base and assist with confidence building. Skills can be taught but confidence cannot. It is important to not only just focus on skill building but confidence as well. By using their own skill base as a stepping stone we are able to help them advance. Our instructors speak the participant’s language and speak on their level. Our instructors relay this safety message to our participants and reiterate the importance of helmets and how they can minimize injuries.
Participants are split up into groups based on their skills and or what is required to learn.
All participants would need their own BMX / MTB and would also be required to wear a helmet and closed in shoes. Participants with defective equipment may not be able to participate. Our facilitators are not able to make repairs to participants equipment during the coaching session.
