Grasshopper Soccer is a community-based Australian soccer program designed to introduce children aged 2–12 years to the basics of soccer in a fun, social and non‑competitive environment.
Programs are age‑grouped and progressive so kids can build skills and confidence over time:
- Mite‑E (2–3 years) – Parent‑involved sessions focused on simple ball skills, coordination and confidence.
- Pint Size (4–5 years) – An introduction to basic soccer skills with fun, small‑sided matches.
- Intro to Micro (5–6 years) – More ball control and game understanding, with slightly larger match formats.
- Micro (6–8 years) – A stronger focus on match play and teamwork, still welcoming complete beginners.
- Micro+ (8–12 years) – A bridge between social soccer and club soccer, developing game awareness and more advanced skills.
Grasshopper Soccer also runs school programs, holiday programs, birthday parties and corporate sessions, with venues across Australia. All skill levels are welcome, and the emphasis is on enjoyment, participation and building life skills through sport.
