The Shack Drop-In
The Shack Drop-In is a free, welcoming space where young people aged 10 – 18 years can relax, connect with friends and enjoy a range of recreational activities in a safe and supportive environment. Whether you’re looking to play games, socialise, try something new or simply chill out, The Shack offers opportunities to have fun and make new connections.
Young people can enjoy access to a pool table, foosball, table tennis, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, board games, sports equipment and comfortable lounge areas within the open-plan drop-in space. The centre also features a fully equipped kitchen, computers and a workshop room that hosts a variety of programs and activities throughout the year. The unique urban artwork throughout the centre creates a vibrant atmosphere that reflects the creativity and personality of the young people who use the space.
Located near a basketball court, skate park and oval, The Shack is ideal for young people who enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities. Qualified Youth Workers are available at every session to provide support, guidance and a friendly chat whenever needed. Light refreshments are provided, and unless otherwise stated, all activities are free to attend. With no registration required, The Shack Drop-In is an accessible and inclusive place where young people can belong, have fun and build positive social connections.

- Participants are discouraged from attending if they are unwell at the time of the event/program.

Facilitators schedule these much-loved programs in advance.
