Co-Design a Youth Makerspace @ Dordaak Kepup (Grades 7 to 12)
Our goal is to create a ‘Crafting Recipe Book’ filled with step-by-step guides on all things Makerspace.
This is a FREE term program for young people in Grades 7 to 12 or High School equivalent
Dordaak Kepup is a new facility our next steps is creating a youth-led space where young people can create, design and innovate.
What better way to do that, than by involving young people in what that looks like.
Co-designing is about youth programs for young people, by young people.
In this term program, young people will learn how to use a range of equipment, develop leadership skills and shape the future of Youth Makerspace.
Possible equipment
- 3D printing and laser cutter
- Digital and CAD skills on 3D modelling and scanning
- Sewing, embroidery and textiles
- Cricut, design and craft
These workshops are an ongoing program where each session builds on skills from the previous.
Where possible, each young person is expected to attend all sessions.
