Dressed To Excess Workshop

Ever wondered what’s really behind your wardrobe?
Join Steph from Care to Rewear for this interactive clothes workshop for games, upcycling activities and insights into the hidden life of textiles.
Explore natural versus synthetic fibres, learn about the environmental impact of the textile industry, and create your own eco-friendly tawashi scrubbing sponge from upcycled materials.
Fun, eye opening and hands-on!
Please bring a t-shirt and odd socks on the day (ideally cotton if possible).
Open to young people aged 11-17yrs
This workshop has been supported by a grant from the Government of Western Australia and the Waste Authority. Together, we’re giving young people in Canning the tools and inspiration to rethink fast fashion and choose sustainable alternatives.
