The Art of Mistake Making: Resilience Through Drawing , Ages 6+, $80
July 9 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Every parent knows mistakes are part of learning, but sometimes they feel anything but okay for our kids! Our “Art of Mistake Making” workshop is specially designed for children aged 6-12 to transform moments of frustration into triumphs of growth.
In this engaging session, kids will dive into new drawing techniques, including learning how to draw in proportion. Along the way, they’ll inevitably make “mistakes” – and that’s exactly where the magic happens! We’ll explore practical strategies to help them calm those big feelings that surface when they feel like giving up. Your child will learn how to add powerful tools to their personal toolkit, empowering them to keep trying and turn perceived setbacks into creative solutions. They’ll leave with an impressive A3 watercolour pencil drawing or painting, but more importantly, a newfound confidence in their ability to persevere.
We’ll also inspire them with fascinating stories of famous inventions born from “happy accidents” and celebrated individuals who never gave up. This workshop isn’t just about art; it’s about equipping your child with the resilience to navigate life’s challenges long after the paint dries.
Give your child the gift of resilience and a confident approach to learning!
NOTE: This workshop is a part of our Mistake Maker Camp. These are based on the incursions we have been running in schools for years. The camp is offered as four stand alone half day workshops at $80 a session. If you would like to book your child for all four workshops over the 2 days at a discounted rate of $270 contact us and we will book your child in and invoice you.
Each child will receive an Emotion Wizzy Dizzy and make a BAT our tools for emotional regulation. Parent information on key messages and how to support your child are included
