3 Stalker Road

Little train lovers can now enjoy a NEW train-themed all-abilities playground at Gosnells Oval that comes with its own train station, locomotives and the resemblance of a railway roundhouse! Located on the eastern side of the Gosnells Oval’s ground at Stalker Road, this steam train-themed playground pays homage to Gosnell’s history and heritage and complements the railway that runs in close proximity (you can also find the Gosnells Railway Markets nearby).

Being one of the 10 new All-Abilities playgrounds that the City of Gosnells has committed to delivering to the local community to make play more accessible, children are sure to enjoy the variety of accessible and inclusive playground equipment here!

Children of all abilities can enjoy the inclusive, accessible play rocker, which features wider seats to accommodate a child and adult carer.

The accessible sway hammock provides children a new way to swing to instil a sense of comfort and calm.

A separate train engine play unit that is wheelchair-friendly.

There is also an Auslan Alphabet board and communication board.

The main locomotive play structure is on soft-fall rubber flooring. It has toddler-friendly climbing equipment and a slide. There is a ramp access to the super spacious deck, which has a variety of play panels.

Little ones can enjoy creative play at the miniature train station with themed signage.

Scattered around the playground are an array of musical instruments, talking tubes, a nest swing, a spinner bowl, rockers, and interactive play panels.

This playground is fully fenced and has seating available (there is no shelter, only sail shades). However, there are no BBQ facilities in this playground; only an accessible drink fountain with a dog bowl and public toilets are found in the clubroom across the oval. ACROD parking and parking bays are just outside the fenced playground.
