Looking for a new nature-based playground to add to your park-hop list? Camira Playground in Quinns Rocks might be your next sunny day adventure! Just 35 minutes north of Perth, this freshly upgraded corner of Camira Park has turned a grassy spot into a fun and inviting play zone that ticks a lot of boxes for kids who love to climb, dig, slide and explore.
Recently opened, this play area blends natural textures and materials with playful features that spark imagination. From the nature play combination unit (say that three times fast!) to the pin impression wall and kitchen/shopfront interactive play, there’s a little something for every mini adventurer.
Kids can scale the rope wall, dash down the speedy slides (there are two open ones and a thrilling tube slide), swing high on the steel basket swing, or balance their way across the wooden climbing arch and nature play logs.
But here’s the hot tip—bring hats, sunscreen, and water! While the playground is advertised as shaded, the sails weren’t up during our visit, so it was full sun. Hopefully, they’re installed soon to make the space more sun-smart, but in the meantime, be ready to Slip! Slop! Slap! before play.
There’s no formal parking area, but you can park on the street nearby (just make sure you’re not blocking any driveways). Also, be aware that there are no fences, and the playground is right by a corner with open roads—so it’s best for kids who won’t bolt, or be prepared to keep a close eye. It’s not ideal for relaxing while they roam, but if you’re up for an active playdate, it’s a win.
Facilities-wise, there’s no toilet block, but there is a shaded picnic table and a few benches, including a seat with armrests and a limestone seating wall. The grassy field next to the play area is perfect for a kick of the footy or a chill picnic (next time we’re bringing a ball and snacks!).
The mix of soft fall (sand, bark and rubber) makes the playground feel like a fun, earthy oasis, and the concrete path looping through means scooters are absolutely welcome.
Would we go again? Absolutely! We had a great time, and once those shade sails go up, it’ll be even better. If your family loves a more natural play vibe over bright plastic jungle gyms, this one is definitely worth checking out. Pack the hats, bring your sense of adventure, and enjoy a little slice of outdoor joy at Camira Playground.

Just to let you know, a new fence is finally planned to be installed very soon , after many complaints about the close proximity to the road. I give it 5 stars on completion of fence
