Tucked away in the heart of old Baldivis, Peckham Boulevard Playground is a lovely little surprise for families. While the play space itself is fairly small, itโs been very thoughtfully designed, with varied equipment and a fantastic, open grassed area thatโs perfect for energetic kids.

The Playground is built over two terraced levels, which adds a fun sense of exploration. In the upper play area youโll find a fantastic double cubby house structure, linked by a rope bridge thatโs ideal for little climbers building confidence and balance. Ladders on either side provide different ways to access the cubbies, and nearby thereโs a bouncy springboard and a rope climbing hammock, great for children who love to climb, sway and test their strength. A water fountain and benches in this upper zone make it easy for adults to sit and supervise while kids dart between the different pieces of equipment.

To move down to the lower level and the big grassed space, families have a couple of fun options. You can take the gently winding path which has been transformed into a โmusical journeyโ, or you can go the fast way via the slide or climbing wall. The musical pathway is a real standout feature of Peckham Boulevard Playground. Along the way there are giant pan pipes to play and large samba drums to beat โ and thanks to the open setting, the acoustics are surprisingly good.

For those who prefer a more physical challenge, the long slide running from the upper to the lower area is sure to be a hit. Alongside it is a clever climbing wall that uses the slope of the hill, turning what could have been a simple bank into a fun climbing challenge and an alternative way to get back up to the top. Kids will happily spend ages climbing up, zooming down, and repeating the loop.

Once you reach the lower level, thereโs still more to discover. A large spinning wheel offers classic, dizzying fun and works well for a range of ages, while a birds nest swing is ideal for younger children or siblings who like to swing together.

From here the Playground opens out onto a large, flat grassed area which is one of the main drawcards of this park. Itโs a brilliant space for a family game of soccer or cricket, flying kites, or setting up a birthday party with plenty of room for kids to run wild. Bring a ball, frisbee or even some backyard games and youโll easily fill a morning or afternoon.

Facilities at Peckham Boulevard Playground are simple, so itโs best to come prepared. There are plenty of onโroad parking spots around the edge of the park, and a water fountain is available, but there are no toilets, picnic tables or covered shelters. Shade is provided naturally by clusters of trees, which create some lovely spots to throw down a picnic blanket โ especially in the morning before the sun is high. Given the lack of toilets, this Playground is probably best suited to shorter visits, locals, or families who are happy to stop here as part of a longer outing in the area.
Overall, Peckham Boulevard Playground is a charming local park that punches above its weight for such a compact space. The splitโlevel design, combination of climbing, swinging and spinning equipment, and the unique musical pathway make it well worth a visit if youโre in or around Baldivis. Pack a picnic, a ball and some sun protection, and enjoy a relaxed play session in this peaceful suburban pocket.
