AWESOME International Arts Festival for Bright Young Things
Five days of theatre, music and free activities for kids aged 0 to 12, running from Tuesday 29 September to Saturday 3 October 2026 across three Perth hubs, the Perth Cultural Centre precinct, Yagan Square and Subiaco Arts Centre.
This year’s program features the world premiere of Walk of the Whales at Subiaco, an ocean-themed production by Barking Gecko Arts adapted from Nick Bland’s picture book, alongside the world premiere of Snuggleplay by Sensorium Theatre at the State Theatre Centre. James Foley’s Stellarphant returns with a book launch for Amazing Astro Animals. International acts Experts Radio Lab from Scotland and Hermit from the Netherlands join the line-up, along with outdoor concerts featuring Perth’s best musicians!
Most ticketed shows are $10 flat, with two sessions at $5, and free activities run at every hub across the festival.
