Tucked within Mirvacโs Iluma Private Estate in Bennett Springs, Luminous Park is a bright, modern community Playground thatโs packed with things to do for a wide range of ages. Surrounded by mature trees and generous lawn areas, it feels like a sprawling neighbourhood hub where kids can easily spend hours exploring different zones of play without everything being crammed together. Itโs worth noting up front that there are no toilets on site, so plan ahead before you arrive or pair your visit with a stop at nearby venues that do have facilities.

The standout feature is the impressive blue climbing tower that dominates the centre of the park. Custom-designed and around seven metres high, the multi-level tower is built from durable steel and mesh and includes a mix of entry points to suit both younger and more confident climbers.

Inside youโll find little details to discover such as a noughts and crosses (tic-tac-toe) game and a sensory play wheel, while outside the reward for reaching the upper platforms is a thrilling fiveโmetre tunnel slide back to ground level. Thereโs also a smaller, more accessible slide, giving younger children a gentler option without missing out on the fun.

At the base of the tower is a small but well-thought-out sand play area. Instead of a huge sandpit, the focus is on interactive play, with a bench, metal sifter, buckets on pulley systems and a mudโkitchen style setโup encouraging kids to dig, scoop, pour and โcookโ. Because this is the only sand in the Playground, it keeps the rest of the park largely sand-free, which is great if youโre not a fan of sand in shoes and prams.

Winding around the trees and equipment is a concrete bike and scooter track thatโs a highlight for many families. The path curves around existing mature trees and includes colourful markings and gentle mounds for little riders to roll over, making it engaging without being too intimidating for beginners. Itโs a fun space for kids to practise their riding skills away from traffic, and works well if you have siblings who like to move at different speeds โ some can ride laps while others stay on the play equipment.

For children chasing a bit more adrenaline, the double flying fox is a major drawcard. With two pommel seats side by side, kids can launch together and race to the end, which always draws a crowd of turnโtakers.

Nearby, a unique pentagonโshaped swing frame hangs five inwardโfacing swings. This clever design encourages social play, as children can swing while facing their friends in the middle, chatting and laughing as they go rather than all looking in different directions.

Luminous Park blends its more traditional Playground elements with a strong dose of nature play. Scattered throughout youโll find timber stepping logs, a wooden cubby structure, a tunnel for crawling through, and a concrete slide built into the landscape.

There is also a simple water play element, inviting kids to explore and experiment on warmer days. Together, these features create a sense of adventure and give children the chance to balance, climb, imagine and engage with more natural textures alongside the bright modern equipment.

If your kids still have energy to burn, they can head to the trio of inโground trampolines. These are set into the ground rather than being raised, which many parents appreciate for the added sense of stability and ease of access for younger jumpers. Itโs a great final stop before you pack up, letting them bounce out the last of their energy before heading home.

Around the equipment, thereโs plenty of open grass for ball games, cartwheels or spreading out a picnic rug. The park includes picnic benches and at least one undercover area, giving families a shaded spot to sit and supervise or enjoy snacks. There are no barbecues advertised for Luminous Park, and combined with the lack of toilets itโs better suited to shorter play sessions or simple picnics rather than a full halfโday party setโup. If youโre after more facilities, you can always combine a visit with Dazzle Park, another Iluma park that offers barbecues and restrooms nearby, or stop at a local cafรฉ.

Luminous Park is also one of three major parks in Iluma Private Estate โ along with Dazzle Park and Pegasus Park โ so it works perfectly for a bit of โpark hoppingโ if you want to explore more of the areaโs fantastic community play spaces in a single trip.

Overall, Luminous Park in Bennett Springs is a vibrant, thoughtfully designed Playground that caters to toddlers through to primaryโaged kids. From the towering slide and flying fox to the nature play, trampolines and scooter track, it offers a great mix of active, social and imaginative play. Just remember there are no toilets on site, and youโll be set for a fun family outing in Perthโs northโeast suburbs.

This is a great little playground, and isn’t far from our school; some graduated slopes to protect from bordering road and equipment spaced apart so it kind of feels like a little exploration outing for them. The grounds also have an undercover area for a picnic.
