Looking for a fresh spot to burn off energy with the kiddos? We checked out the new $9 million Duncraig Adventure Hub at Percy Doyle Reserve with Miss 9 and Master 11, and itโs a big hit! This vibrant community space sits right next to the Duncraig Library, making it ideal for a play-and-library combo. The mega playground has two distinct zones Sensory Monsters Playground and The Lotterywest Bike and Skate Hubs.

The brightly coloured Sensory Monsters Playground adds an inclusive touch, offering textures, so many climbing elements and imaginative play for younger kids and sensory seekers.

There’s a few ways up to the two tube slides (one much smaller than the other), and there’s even handy steps for easy access for little ones and parents.

I lost count of how many times the kids climbed to the top of the container tower, and popped out the pink slide with grins on their faces.

There’s also a wooden nature play area under the shady trees, with more imaginative play in the form of a cubby, hut and theatre/shop front.

For little ones, they’ll love the water play and sand table too.

A set of swings (including traditional and a nest swing) is under shade.

The Lotterywest Bike and Skate Hubs feature a fantastic skate park plus a pump and jump track thatโs perfect for confident riders as well as beginners building their skills.

Pack the scooters, bikes and boards because your crew will be entertained for hours. Right alongside, the multipurpose court is great for a game of basketball or chasing hoops while others roll nearby.

Around the play areas youโll find shaded seating, grassy picnic spots and barbecuesโperfect for family hangouts or weekend get-togethers. The skate park even features cool skate seats, around its perimeter.

What parents want to know is how practical this new space is. I thought that everything seemed well thought out. There’s a large, shaded structure (I don’t think waterproof, as there are holes in the roof?). There are multiple BBQs here, as well as really long picnic tables – perfect for birthdays and other group gatherings.

There are accessible restrooms, and CCTV throughout, making it feel safe and welcoming for everyone. Being part of the larger Percy Doyle Reserve also means heaps of parking and easy access to sports fields, the library and local coffee spots (I’d drive to the closest cafe, Little H).

And thereโs still more to come… The upcoming Roller Disco Plaza, complete with music and a sparkling disco ball beside the basketball court, promises to add even more fun to this already lively space. How unique!

If youโre planning a visit, pack plenty of snacks, sun protection and helmets. Mornings and late afternoons are especially nice times to visit when itโs cooler. Whether youโre chasing big thrills, a relaxed picnic or a sense of community, the Duncraig Adventure Hub delivers it all. Weโll definitely be back.
