Found in plain sight, in the heart of Cowaramup, the newly upgraded Cowaramup Hall Playground has had a serious glow-up. I had NO idea it was there! And it’s one worth adding to your South West must-visit list with the kids, especially to run off that Candy Cow sugar high!

Gone are the tired old pieces, replaced with a fresh, nature-inspired play space in 2026 that feels perfectly at home in this charming country town. Think timber and green tones that blend with the surrounding landscape.

Designed for kids aged 2โ12, the woodchip based play area has a great mix of equipment to keep everyone entertained. The standout timber multiplay structure with slides, is ideal for little adventurers who love to climb and balance. The three swings and seesaw offer that classic rush for most ages.

I love the subtle details woven throughout, like the colors inspired by the local Cowara bird and the tractor springer, which is a playful nod to the areaโs rural roots.

If your kids love making a bit of noise, the rainbow-colored chimes add a sensory element that sparks plenty of creativity.

Located right next door to the skate park and bowl, itโs a winner if you have older kids or teens who want to practice their skills while the younger ones explore. There is also a huge, grassy oval right there, perfect for kicking a footy or having a run.

Logistically, itโs a breeze for families. There is plenty of parking available, and with public toilets on-site, you won’t have to cut the play session short. Pack a picnic, grab a coffee from a nearby cafe (2 Cracks Coffee Roasters is my pick), and enjoy a slow afternoon in this lovely community space. There’s water stations nearby and it’s worth noting the playground is not fenced next to the carpark, if you have little escapees.

Throughout “Cowtown” you’re sure to spot many dairy cow statues.

Plus, there is beautiful mural in the carpark. Itโs a beautiful spot to play in the southwest!
