The Village West Playground at Whiteman Park has undergone a complete reconstruction with all new play equipment and shade sails. It’s a perfect park for summer days with almost the entire park covered by shade. It is still fully fenced with only one open entrance near the picnic tables. There are three main play equipment areas surrounded by a soft fall walkway which is painted with train tracks and great for little ones pretending to be a train. Whiteman Park Dog Park is a little known secret among the dog community The fully fenced and grassed 2.5-hectare playground has a doggie obstacle course and plenty of natural shade from mature trees. There’s even a separate enclosure for smaller dog breeds. There’s a 500m walkway around the circumference of the park so you can exercise yourself as well as your friend.
