If you have a little one obsessed with wheels, you need to pack the car and head to Hossack Playground. This park has recently leveled up with a fantastic bike park that feels like a miniature city, with a new playground as well, this spot ticks all the boxes for a fun day out.
The bike park is the star of the show. It features a fresh asphalt track complete with roundabouts, give way signs, stop signs and pedestrian crossings. It’s the perfect environment for kids to practice their steering and learn road awareness.
My son loved the little details along the track, especially the petrol pump /charging station and the mini blue beach cafe. The kids can refuel their bikes and tummies before heading back out on the road!
The playground is beautiful, wooden and features a large green tunnel slide and a smaller blue slide.
There is also a great sand and water play station along with your usual swings and talking poles plus more!
Right next to the playground is a half-court basketball area, and the whole park is surrounded by massive green fields, perfect for kicking a footy or running the dog.
Shade sails cover the main play equipment, and natural shade from the beautiful trees along the little bike town keep the park cool even on sunny days, which is great!
There are toilets on-site and plenty of seating spread about for the parents. A BBQ, a drink fountain, and lots of bins are also available.
The bike track is ideal for toddlers on trikes up to primary kids on BMXs. The playground has a good mix of equipment for different skill levels, but I would say it’s best suited for under-12s.
On the other side of the main oval is also an older playground and for the adults, there is a new exercise station!
You can find this little gem on Hossack Ave, Packwood with ample parking available.
