Repair Lab Melville
Volunteers will try repairing your household items including small electrical appliances, textiles and shoes, and general household items like furniture, bicycles, stands and more.
At this free drop-in, skilled volunteers will help repair items you’d find around the home, including electrical appliances, clothing, bicycles, and an array of household items.* Repair Lab helps us give new life to items and saves them from going to landfill. You do not need to register to attend. First come, first serve.
*Some items may be beyond our volunteers’ skillset. Expertise and repair services may vary from event-to-event. We cannot guarantee a successful repair, however our volunteer repairers will do their best to help you free-of-charge with the time, tools and skills they have available. Advice will be provided if your item is unable to be repaired.
Also at this event: a Buy Nothing Market will also be running. Bring along your unwanted items to gift or find a treasure to take home with you!
Repair Lab House Rules:
- Please stay with your Volunteer Repairer for the duration of your repair – have a chat and learn repair skills!
- Only one item is repaired at a time – if you have multiple items, you’ll need to join the queue again. This ensures everyone gets to be seen at least once by a Repairer.
- We’re unable to accommodate dogs.
