nom! for carers

Dates: Tues 12 May and Tues 26 May
We’ve joined forces with Foodbank to provide a 2-part series for carers supporting people with disability, mental health challenges, or complex needs to gain confidence in the kitchen with simple, tasty and healthy meals. This program is great for all levels of cooking experience – even if you don’t know how to boil an egg.
Learn important life skills and how to eat healthy with interactive activities that help you cook, prepare and plan easy, healthy and tasty meals. Not only this, you’ll pick up ways to choose healthy foods and meal plan on a budget, read food labels and the amount and get an understanding of types of food you should eat each day for health and wellbeing.
Why sign up?
With Foodbank’s nom! you will
- Cover the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating
- Learn meal prep ideas
- Get a free recipe book
- Receive free resources for meal planning
- Increase your confidence to cook healthy meals
Our interactive sessions give you the knowledge and skills to make healthy choices before cooking some of our delicious recipes. The best part is sitting down together to enjoy your freshly cooked meal.
Crosslinks is grateful to Carers WA for funding this series.
