NAIDOC Flag Raising Ceremony 2025
July 4 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

NAIDOC Flag Raising Ceremony
Join us for the NAIDOC Flag Raising Ceremony at the Wanneroo Civic Centre in the Jacaranda Amphitheatre.
National NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to celebrate and recognise the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
As we enter 2025, NAIDOC Week marks a powerful milestone: 50 years of honoring and elevating Indigenous voices, culture, and resilience. The 2025 theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of our young leaders, the vision of our communities, and the legacy of our ancestors.
This special event will be led by Noongar Knowledge Holder Derek Nannup and includes a Welcome to Country by Elder Vaughn McGuire, speech by Mayor Linda Aitken, and a memorable cultural performance by the STARS Foundation students from Butler College. Following the conclusion of the Ceremony, attendees will have the opportunity to socialise and connect whilst enjoying refreshments.
To attend, please register your interest by 02 July. Registered attendees will be notified via email of any changes to the event, should they occur.
