Life Skills for Young People: Resumes and Cover Letters

Ages 14 – 25 | Free
Looking to apply for your first job but not sure where to start? This workshop for 14–25 year olds shows you how to build a strong resume and cover letter from scratch, even if you’ve never had a job before. Identify transferable skills from school, sport, volunteering, and everyday responsibilities, and find out exactly what employers are looking for and how to structure your application. By the end, you’ll have a clear, practical template and a draft ready to use when applying for your first role.
This workshop is presented by keynote speaker Paris McNeil.
Bookings are essential and can be made online, in person or over the phone.
Life Skills for Young People is a series of workshops at Victoria Park Library.
