Fathering Girls

Shire of Mundaring Libraries is pleased to host this workshop presented by DadsWA supported by Midvale Hub Parenting Service (Perth North East).
(For fathers and father figures of young people 4 to 12 years.)
The father–daughter relationship is especially important as girls approach their adolescent years. A strong, supportive connection with their father can play a key role in helping girls navigate social pressures, negative stereotypes, and challenging behaviours they may encounter, while supporting them to make confident and healthy choices.
This workshop explores how fathers can strengthen their relationship with their daughters and positively influence their wellbeing, confidence, and decision‑making during this important stage of development.
This workshop will explore:
- The importance of positive male role modelling
- Building open and respectful communication
- Supporting resilience and emotional wellbeing
- Strengthening self‑worth and confidence
- Encouraging assertiveness and healthy boundaries
(Parents may bring babies under 5 months, but this session is not suitable for children to attend.)
Bookings are essential for this free event via Humanitix. Places are limited.
Light refreshments will be available.
Let us know if you have any access requirements.
