Community Planting Day – Lake Magenup

Join us at Lake Magenup in Wandi to plant native trees together we can create cooler, greener and more resilient cities.
Urban Shade Forests are small pockets of native plants growing in urban spaces, helping to bring nature back into our cities where vegetation has often been lost over time. Take home some native seedlings to bolster your own garden and enjoy a light lunch at the end (please advise of any dietary requirements).
- Wear clothing appropriate for the weather including long sleeves and enclosed shoes
- Gloves and planting tools will be provided, however you’re welcome to bring your own gloves if you wish.
- Parking available at Wandi Community Hall, and you’ll be directed to the planting site in the reserve behind.
Registration is essential.
This event is delivered in partnership with Conservation Volunteers Australia through CVA’s Urban Shade Forest initiative. The Urban Shade Forest initiative is supported by founding partner Chevron Australia, Chevron’s premium fuel brand Caltex and supported locally by the City of Kwinana.
