Cockatoo KIDs – Doug the Darter (ages 7 – 15)
Cockatoo KIDs will learn about Australasian Darters and other waterbirds of the Canning River. Darters are expert fishers but litter like fishing line and hooks are a threat to them. Learn what you can do to help protect our waterbirds.
Then you can create an amazing artwork using upcycled items and sea sponges. There will be an option to paint a waterbird, with templates available for inspiration or a water scene. Marie, a local artist, will show you how. Take home a unique painting to remind you of what you have learned.
Suitable for ages 7 – 15 years, accompanied by an adult.
Please only book tickets for the children who are attending the workshop.
