You are invited to the official book launch of Salahuddin’s Smelly Encounter, the latest children’s book published by KMB Press.

Join young Salahuddin and his father on a fun day at the park, where an unexpected encounter at the sandpit leads to some important lessons. This book explains Islamic teachings including Najis (ritually unclean), Wudhu (ablution), and Salah (ritual prayer), as well as important values like cleanliness, kindness to animals, and caring for the environment. With vibrant illustrations and a catchy nursery rhyme, Salahuddin’s Smelly Encounter is a delightful read for parents and kids to share.

Salahuddin’s Smelly Encounter is written by City of Gosnells locals Umisaldo A Khair and Raihanaty A Jalil and illustrated by Krishnendu Roy. Umi and Rai are regular patrons of the City of Gosnells’ libraries and have frequently worked together at the Mills Park Library in particular, the playgrounds and surroundings of which have served as inspiration for illustration of their latest book.

Along with Krishnendu Roy, Rai and Umi are the team that brought KMB Press’ first children’s book, Shoo Shaytan From Your Dreams! to your child’s bookcase.

Join us in the Main Hall located across from Amherst Village Library and help us officially launch their new book!

Families are welcome and there will be fun activities for the children in attendance.
